The AGM of the Grants
Only Group Inc. was held at the Tarwin Lower Health Centre on 19 August 2013.
In her address, the
President gave thanks to the GOG teams’ commitment, along with thanks to Grant
Organisations who showed their confidence in GOG.
The President
mentioned that grant writing has become more sophisticated & that GOG’s
experience & knowledge was able to help fund seekers who found it too
overwhelming.
The team attended
Grant Writing courses, a Strategic Planning Seminar & the Community Engagement
Conference to extend their knowledge.
GOG has its own Blog Page
& is currently setting up a Face Book Page.
The Treasurer reported
an increase in activity leading to a stable financial position. Statistics
showed that GOG had assisted in 14 applications of which 64.7% were funded,
bringing $30,349 into the community this financial year. The total funding to
date since GOG began in October 2011 is $56,045 to various community groups.
No application was
unfulfilled due to lack of professionalism from GOG, but due rather to the
priorities placed on applications by the Grantor in the light of funds
available.
GOG’s aim is to remain
viable so we can continue to assist community groups to access funds, thus
enabling these groups to continue to contribute to their community’s
sustainability.
